  17.      The _a_c_c_e_s_s_x graphical interface allows movement-impaired users to set and
  18.      activate special keyboard features.  It uses the XKB extension built into
  19.      the X server in IRIX 6.2 and later releases.

  22.      The _a_c_c_e_s_s_x panel can be run from a Unix shell command line or from the
  23.      toolchest (Desktop > Customize > Accessibility).  Like most other IRIX
  24.      Interactive Desktop (IID) customization panels, _a_c_c_e_s_s_x has the
  25.      ``runonce'' feature, meaning only one instance of the application will
  26.      run at one time.  Attempting to launch the application a second time will
  27.      have the effect of deiconifying the application window or popping it to
  28.      the top on the current desk.

  31.      The _a_c_c_e_s_s_x software has a main Status window and an accompanying
  32.      Settings window.  The following special keyboard features are
  33.      configurable:

  35.      MMMMoooouuuusssseeeeKKKKeeeeyyyyssss turns the user's keyboard number pad into a pointer controller,
  36.      enabling the user to move the pointer without the mouse.

  38.      BBBBoooouuuunnnncccceeeeKKKKeeeeyyyyssss makes the keyboard ignore spurious extra presses of a key.

  40.      SSSSttttiiiicccckkkkyyyyKKKKeeeeyyyyssss causes modifier keys such as Shift, Ctrl, and Alt to latch and
  41.      affect the next key pressed, such that modifier keys and other keys may
  42.      be pressed in sequence instead of simultaneously.

  44.      SSSSlllloooowwwwKKKKeeeeyyyyssss makes the keyboard ignore spurious presses of other keys on the
  45.      way to a target key.

  48.      repeatedly or just once.

  74.      Users can define and save groups of settings as profiles.  These profiles
  75.      are saved in each user's $_H_O_M_E/._d_e_s_k_t_o_p-<_h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e>/_a_c_c_e_s_s_x directory.  If
  76.      this directory is not readable and writable, then the user may still set
  77.      and activate customized settings, but they will not be remembered across
  78.      login sessions.
